Eating well, moving your body regularly, and resting are not just tasks, they are acts of worship.
As a Christian woman entrepreneur, you pour so much into your business, family, church ministries, and the list goes on. But how often do you take time to care for yourself? Prioritizing your health is essential, not only for your own well-being but also for fulfilling the purpose God has placed on your life. Remember, your body is a gift from God, and how you care for it reflects your faith and stewardship.
I once spoke with a fellow entrepreneur who shared how burnout nearly stole her joy. She confessed she felt guilty stepping away from her work, until she realized that rest wasn’t a luxury. It was obedience. She started seeing rest as worship, and in doing so, she found new strength to serve with joy and purpose.
The Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Scripture goes on to tell us, "You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies." Eating well, moving your body regularly, and resting are not just tasks, they are acts of worship. When you prioritize your health, you gain the strength and energy to serve others and pursue your God-given dreams.
Yet, health isn’t just physical. We need rest for our souls, too. In Mark 6:31, Jesus tells His disciples, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." How often do you carve out time to simply be still with God? Rest renews your spirit, sharpens your focus, and gives you the clarity you need to lead with confidence and grace.
Remember, you don’t have to do this alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 urges, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path." So surrender your business, your ministry, your health, and your worries to God, and let Him direct your steps.
By taking care of your body and trusting His guidance, you’ll find the strength to thrive in your calling. You were made to flourish, not just in business and ministry but in every area of your life. Prioritize your health, trust His plan, and watch how He works through you.
