God has already seen our tomorrow and started preparing for it yesterday.

Boundaries are essential for healthy relationships, but often, the most critical boundaries are those we set within ourselves.
It’s easy to spot the need for boundaries in external relationships—like saying no to an overwhelming workload or establishing limits with a friend. But often, the greatest harm results from within – our very own thoughts perpetuating an endless cycle of overthinking and worry. We spend time obsessing over the mistakes of our past or what could happen in the future and frequently fail to live in the present. What would it look like to set a boundary with worry? It may sound strange at first but that’s exactly what Jesus calls us to do.
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:34 MSG
At its core, worry is about control—our attempt to rewrite the past or micromanage an uncertain future. But the reality is, neither is within our grasp. Jesus reminds us tomorrow is not our burden to bear. God has already seen our tomorrow and started preparing for it yesterday.
What does that mean?
It means the things we wish we could change about our past are precisely what God will use to help us through our tomorrow. The lessons we’ve learned, the experiences we’ve had including both our successes and failures, even the hard parts of our story we wish we could erase will all be used by God for His purposes. God does not waste any of it, nor should we expect Him to as a Romans 8:28 God.
How would our lives change if instead of focusing on ‘what if,’ we focused on ‘what is’—the present moment where God is working? When we take our thoughts captive and set a boundary with worry, we free ourselves to experience God's peace and presence in the here and now.
