We are all called to be faithful with what has been entrusted to us.
Perhaps you desire to impact this world for Jesus.
Maybe we have expectations of what that looks like.
It’s so tempting to look at those whom God has chosen to bless with a significant reach, those who obviously make a huge difference for His Kingdom. Even now, you’re probably thinking of a Christian celebrity or someone you admire and thinking, “Why couldn’t that be me? Why couldn’t I reach as many as those people?”
Maybe one day you will.
But did you know that you don’t need to reach a million people for God to use you in mighty ways? God has a unique calling for each of us, and He knows the desires of our hearts to make a difference for His Kingdom.
We are all called to be faithful with what has been entrusted to us. So, no matter how small our lot may be compared to someone else, it’s precious in the sight of God, and specifically given to us for a reason. Luke 16:11-12 tells us, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?”
This verse refers to faithfulness on earth and rewards of the Kingdom of heaven, but I think it can also apply to greater responsibility here in this life.
So why do we look at the lot another has been given when we should be fully invested and faithful with where God has us?
We must choose to be faithful with what God has given us. Maybe one day, He’ll choose to entrust us with more responsibility. Yet, if we’re not faithful with our lot, as “small” or “mundane” as it may seem, then why do we think we’ll be entrusted with more? Your faithfulness matters.

We are always tempted with the thought of why wasn't me chosen for a particular thing, however I liked what the author said, we may not be called to reach millions, are we faithful to reach the few? Thank you for sharing Hannah.
